White Wines (listed from dry to off-dry)

Estate Collection Semillon 2005
This white wine displays aromas & flavours of dried apricot; guava, tangerine and a slight herbal note with rich oily mouth feel & long finish. Cellaring for 1-3 years will allow the wine to develop the additional complexity. Try it with seafood such as grilled oysters or steamed clams, a great match with Sushi.

Summit Reserve Semillon 2004
This Semillon is quite different from the estate version. Six months of barrel aging gives a smokiness to the nose which gives way to flavours of gooseberry and pear. The finish is long with hints of citrus. Bottled on January 15, 2005, only 250 cases made.

Summit Reserve Ehrenfelser 2005
Floral and orange blossom notes predominate on the nose and the tropical fruit salad flavours are delightful. Graham plans on adding some Riesling suss-reserve (sweet juice) to the final blend which will really enhance the tutti-frutti flavours.

Estate Collection Chardonnay 2005 (unoaked)
Our estate-grown grapes have produced this dry, unoaked white wine which displays lively aromas and flavors of pear, citrus and green apple with a rich, well-balanced finish. Pair with grilled seafood & seasonal salad. Enjoyable now and good cellaring potential for 1-3 years to further develop complexity and bottle bouquet.

Summit Reserve Chardonnay 2004
This dry rich wine was partially barrel fermented in premium French oak cooperage and aged 8 months sur lie for added complexity. Aromas of apple, butterscotch & pear are followed by lush flavours. A classic and elegant Chardonnay that pairs well with roast poultry, baked salmon, cream based dishes and rich cheeses.

Estate Collection Pinot Gris 2006
This wine has aromas & flavours of lemon-lime, honey and pear with a crisp off-dry finish. Cellaring for 1-2 years will allow the wine to develop additional complexity. Pairs well with sushi, tapas & grilled salmon.

Estate Collection Riesling 2005
This off-dry white wine has intense aromas of flavours of tropical fruit and peach with vibrant acidity and a lush finish. Serve with sushi, asian inspired dishes and shellfish.

Estate Collection Gewürztraminer 2006
Hints of citrus, sandalwood and passion fruit are followed by a clean refreshing finish. This wine was tank fermented at a cool temperature to maximize varietal characteristics and aromatics. A classic match with spicier cuisine or enjoyable on its own.

Red Wines (listed from lighter to fuller bodied)

Estate Collection Gamay Noir 2006
This medium bodied wine has aromas and flavours of candied cherries and plum, with a hint of toasted oak. The palate shows rounded tannins with a soft, smooth finish. Pair with pork tenderloin and plum sauce, pastas, pizza, barbecued salmon, or assorted appetizers.

Summit Reserve Zweigelt 2004

Summit Reserve Blaufrankisch 2003
2003 Blaufrankisch just released! Also known as Lemberger, this dry barrel-aged red has fresh aromas & flavours of blueberry, nutmeg & plum with a soft, smooth palate and a lengthy finish. Pair with grilled vegetable, meats & tomato-based pastas.

Summit Reserve Pinot Noir 2004
Rich aromas of of cherries, raspberries and spice. 16 months ageing in French oak barrels has softened the fruit and added oak complexity. Enjoy with lamb entrees, grilled salmon & vegetarian dishes.

Summit Reserve Merlot 2004
Thick and juicy! This Merlot is packed full of ripe berry fruit flavors highlighted by aromas of coco and mint. The wine was cellared for 18 months in Oak Barrels. The rich mouth feel and structure make it not only enjoyable now, but will allow it to develop for the next 2 to 5 years.

Summit Reserve Syrah 2004
This dry, barrel aged Rhone-style Syrah has aromas of coco, caramel and black pepper. The palate is complex with flavours of ripe raspberry and blackberry followed by a velvety lingering finish. Enjoy with ratatouille, lamb or cassoulet.

~ The Summit Reserve Syrah 2004 is now sold out.

Summit Reserve Mélange Noir 2004
This 2004 vintage is named mélange (blend), for its unique blend of 10 percent Gamay Noir and 30 percent each Marechal Foch, Merlot and Michurinetz. Michurinetz is an extremely winter hardy east-European variety which was sourced from a Westbank vineyard. Graham said that by itself, Michurinetz makes a Cabernet Sauvignon-style wine. The tank sample we tasted was very complex - it had lovely coffee, raspberry and cherry aromas, chocolate cherry/berry flavours and a long black tea finish.

Summit Reserve Summit 2004
This full-bodied blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon displays hints of blackberry, currant and leather with soft tannins and a lingering finish. Pairs with game meats, steak and roast beef.
